CRISIS AND EMERGENCIES
Lifeline - 13 11 14 - is staffed by trained volunteer telephone counsellors who are ready to take calls 24-hour a day, any day of the week from anywhere in Australia. These volunteers operate from Lifeline Centres in every State and Territory around Australia.
SuicideLine - 1300 651 251 - is available throughout Victoria 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for the cost of a local call (mobiles extra). Interpreters can be arranged for non-English speaking callers.
NorthWestern Mental Health Triage (CATT) - 1300 TRIAGE (1300 874 243) - for mental health crisis assessment and treatment for people living in the North West region of Melbourne. Call 24 hours, 7 days a week for help with mental illness
The Women's Domestic Violence Crisis Service -1800 015 188 - is a 24-hour/7 days a week telephone service providing support, information and accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic violence.
Centre Against Sexual Assult (CASA) - 1800 806 292 - is a free and confidential 24 hour emergency or crisis care service is available for victims/survivors who have recently been sexually assaulted. This includes crisis counselling support and may include access to medical care and legal processes.
